Fr Doan Hoang, has been assigned to work here at St Francis Xavier by his Provincial since July 1st, 2015, in response to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles seeking a Japanese speaking priest. As a director of the Apostleship of Prayer of the Archdiocese and also of California Province of the Society of Jesus, since July 2003 Fr. Hoang has been worked as a retreat master and an instructor of many retreats, workshops and seminars to promote the devotions to the Sacred Heart of Jesus at many places in the Archdiocese, and in the U.S. - Canada - Europe - Japan - Australia and Vietnam.
Fr Doan has been interested in the spiritual growth, faith formation of parishioners, especially, devotions to the Eucharist and liturgical performances.
