AUXILIARY

 Auxiliary’s mission is to provide service to the Parish to and its surrounding community while encouraging the development of Parish growth and participation through spiritual and social activities in alignment with Church Teachings. Auxiliary fulfills its Mission by fully supporting Parish activities and events which develop stronger parish, community, and personal relationships for the greater good of the Parish in a friendly and welcoming environment for all.  Membership in our organization is open to all parishioners of St. Francis Xavier Chapel.
                        When:    1st Sunday of the Month at 11:30 a.m.

Maryknoll Ladies Guild

 One of our oldest service organizations. The group welcomes women of all ages who are interested in serving our community and supporting the various SFXC programs designed to strengthen and unite our parish. The program consists of various social activities, participation in SFXC fundraisers, and workshops to stock their annual boutique.  Interested individuals are always welcomed to join us.
                        When:  First Sundays 10am

XAVIER KAI

 Is an organization of Japanese speaking families which provides service to the Parish by its Sunday Coffee and Donut toban” and volunteer service for Parish activities & events.  It supports Parish spiritual and social activities.  They also provide camaraderie among those in the parish who have more facility with the Japanese language.  Membership is open to those seeking a Japanese speaking environment.
            When:     1st Sunday of the Month, after 8:30 a.m. Mass
            Where:       Lower Clubroom and Kitchen 

THURSDAY GROUP

Is open to women and men of all ages who want to learn new arts & crafts skills, practice or share skills you have, or simply to socialize.  In addition, it is involved in community service projects as well as religious and social activities.
                            When:     1st, 2nd and 4th Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Boy Scouts

 Boy Scout Troop #145 was founded by the Maryknoll Fathers over 80 years ago and continues to meet weekly at SFXCJCC on Friday evenings.  If your son is interested in joining the Boy Scouts, please come and visit the Scout Troops on Friday evenings at 7:30 p.m. in the upstairs clubroom.

MARYKNOLL KARATE CLUB

 The Maryknoll Karate Club welcomes everyone to join and learn the martial art of Shotokan Karate in the tradition established by Sensei Tsutomu Ohshima.  Shotokan Karate has been taught at Maryknoll since 1963.  Classes are open to men, women, girls and boys, ages 10 and up.  BEGINNERS WELCOME!

MARYKNOLL OF LOS ANGELES FEDERAL CREDIT UNION

 Parishioners and their immediate family members (parents, children, siblings) can take advantage of the competitive interest rates available to members of the Credit Union.  It has remained fiscally sound and financially stable since its inception, over fifty years ago.  If you are interested in joining the Credit Union and/or applying for a loan, please stop by the Office or call Joe Takahashi at (323) 708-3693.  Car loan rates are fantastic!  New members are always welcome

Young Adult Group

 

Young Adult Group is composed of young people 18-35 years of age who are committed to supporting the spiritual and social activities of the Parish. TheYoung Adult Group was organized by its Young Adult Group leadership and under the guidance of committed adult advisors.  The Young Adult Group are encouraged to be fully engaged in the organization, following the Teachings of the Church.  Young Adult Group isn’t just about community service, it includes “fun time” for picnics, beach parties, dances, movies, outings, etc. Membership is open to any Parish Young Adult from the ages of 18 to 35
